*Warning, this piece is a little crass.
So, I’ve had a very passionate hate-tolerate relationship with Sense8. And quite frankly, ditching it and forgetting that crap was a welcoming relief. I couldn’t sit through the entire season, it was torturous. Perhaps it would have sucked so much and felt like I was being force fed shit, if I didn’t have to write about it. But I did, and upon analysis, this series was shitter than CSI Cyber.
Yes, it did get good in the end, and no, I have refused to go back and watch the episodes that didn’t suck and fill in the gap. My hatred for the first three episodes of Season 1 is way-way-way above my fondness of the season finale.
And now, Netflix has announced that there will be a second season to this show. I don’t know how I feel about this. I really do feel that The Waz… The Matrix people, have an issue with “their touch”. There’s a shit load of crap that goes with fantastic vision. They have moments of genius, but somehow manage to totally screw up the moments which shouldn’t be shit.
They have their political agendas and not so gently cram it down our collective minds, they could have done it in a more creative manner to which we, as audiences, would become sympathetic in their cause. You catch more bears with honey than you do shit. Just sayin’.
Netflix needs to not give The Matrix people free reign, someone needs to actually read the script, watch the edited episodes and comment accordingly. Make sure that Season 2 starts off the way Season 1 ended, not the way Season 1 started.
Will I be watching Season 2? Not without my editor telling me to do it. I wish to pass this responsibility to my fellow writers, but I can see their laughing faces now as we sit to discuss this task.
