Goodbye Bruce, hello Caitlyn. And you know what, she’s beautiful.
Over the last few months, every medium of media has been bombarding you with stories about Bruce Jenner’s transgender shock announcement.
In the beginning of 2015, there was plenty of denial from the Jenner-Kardashian camp as to what was going on. And rightly so. This is an incredibly personal story and one that takes a lot of courage to deal on a personal level, let alone, the international stage.
Caitlyn announced to the world today, in spectacular style, her arrival. Nothing short of a cover page to one of the world’s most iconic magazines, Vanity Fair.
Caitlyn bears very little resemblance to the man she once was. I look at her and see nothing short of a woman who seems incredibly comfortable in her own skin.
Making her announcement to the world in a smoking hot red dress that I wish I could get away with wearing, she’s making her mark. And ready or not world, she’s here and proud.
She’s an athletic, adventurous woman, who loves fast toys, adrenaline sports and is lovely. And now, she’s got the body she’s always wanted to be in.
She’s feminine, having gone through facial reconstruction. Caitlyn has done an amazing job physically. She does resemble Jessica Lang, but they do say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Caitlyn has received an overwhelming support from the online community. No doubt, a lot of that good will has come from fans of Keeping up with the Kardashians. For years now, Bruce has been the poor suffering husband, then ex-husband of the show’s villain, Momager Kris Jenner. Good on Caitlyn for having the courage to be herself and good for her for having a family that is supportive of the transformation, which no doubt, is hard for them too.
Congratulations Caitlyn, and I will be tuning into your show. For once, a reality show that is more than just a vanity fair.
PS. Caitlyn, welcome to the woman’s world, where you are judge mostly for your appearance, what your children have achieved and what your shoes and handbag collection looks like. The key word there is ‘mostly’.
